2. Pitch map and facilities


Getting here

IRFC is located at Humber Doucy Lane, Ipswich, IP4 3PZ.

Please note that there are road closures at the east end of Humber Doucy Lane. Access to the club via Sidegate Lane and Tuddenham Road is unaffected.

Parking

There is both offsite and onsite parking for the event.

Offsite parking: Rushmere Hall Primary School
Offsite hard-standing parking is at Rushmere Hall Primary School (postcode IP4 3EJ) which is a 5 minute walk from the club. The route to the club has suitable footpaths to ensure safe transit. You can use the drop-off point at the entrance to the IRFC clubhouse then head to Rushmere Hall Primary to park if preferred.

Onsite parking: IRFC
Onsite parking is limited so please head up the drive until you see a parking attendant who will direct you to a parking space to ensure we maximise all available spaces. Please be aware onsite parking may be on grass and please lift-share where you can to help with parking capacity.

Disabled parking and coach spaces
If you require disabled parking or your club requires a coach space, please advise by emailing Mtaylor.irfc@gmail.com at the latest 24hrs before the event.

When you get here
Once parked, head to the Players' Village located to the right of the main pitches to join you teammates. Any players attending absent of a team please come and register directly at Event HQ and we will allocate you team for the day.

Registration

Coaches will be required to register their teams at event HQ, located within the portacabin the far side of the clubhouse.

We will be providing the registration form here in advance of the day to be completed in advance if preferred. Please check back in the coming days.

Once registered, teams are welcome to erect their tents, gazebos, flags and/or banners within the Players' Village, located to the right hand side of main pitches (this area will be clearly marked). Please ensure these are secured firmly to prevent an injury.

Be aware there is a public right of way along the hedgeline that will be roped off for access but please be respectful of the general public, this is a busy area for dog walkers.

Facilities and provisions

Changing rooms
Changing rooms will be accessible to players on the day, with 1 changing room allocated to each age group. These will be cleared marked on the door. There is to be no admittance to this areas by coaches or supporting adults unless in an emergency.

Toilets
Toilets within the changing rooms are reserved for players only. For everyone else, male and female toilets are to the right hand side as you enter the clubhouse. Further portaloo facilities are at the rear of the Players' Village.

First aid
All teams are required to have an allocated pitch side first aider and adequate medical provisions whilst their games are being played.

If a team requires first aid assistance during game play, they should alert the ‘Pitch Marshal’, who will contact the on site Emergency Medical support.

Emergency first aid provision will be located in the physio/medical room directly to the right of the players entrance of the clubhouse.

A defibrillator is located to the right hand side of the door on the main entrance to the club.

If a child gets lost
Lost children should go to the event HQ and we will look after them and help them find their team or parents.

Dogs allowed
Furry friends are permitted on site for the day, we would just ask that all dogs remain on leads and are not taken onto the pitches. Please also take responsibility for your doggie doos!
