On a bright, clear all be it windy Sunday morning at Rushmere, it was great to see our friends at Ipswich YM and welcome back a few faces to the squad following injuries.

YM chose to take the kick off, we controlled the ball from the kick and went straight down their end to get the score board ticking over with a converted (in very windy conditions) try and that set the high standard for the rest of the day, with some of the best rugby I have seen since England beat the All Blacks in this years semi final. We decided to to play some players in different positions and gave new boy Toby a start at scrum half, allowing the free flowing running and passing of Joe to express himself at outside centre and following Zacks hook against the head and Harry's quick thinking to get the ball out wide, it was lovely hands down the running line with a loop at the end with Kit for Joe to go over for his first of the day.

I don't wish to brag, but there were too many excellent performances from one to sixteen today, with some great individual try's along with some outstanding team try's, with all the hard work in recent training paying off on the field, there were off loads when it was on, taken to the floor when they weren't, attacking space and supporting each other.

I can't name a player of the match, as they were all outstanding today, but I will share a chat I had with Antonin, "So Antonin, how many years have I have been coaching you?", "I don't know, a lot", "Your right a lot and can I just say that was the best tackle (although first tackle) I have seen you make, you smashed him", "cheers Niki, wouldn't it be great if I can make my 2nd ever tackle next week too?".
