Match Preview

After a break of two weeks due to Storm Ciara and then Dennis we were looking forward to some bright skies with no wind. Well how wrong were we, gail force winds and torrential rain graced the hardened players and supporters at HDL. None of that negative weather damped the mood at HDL as this weeks fixture saw the mighty U12'S taking on their local rivals from the YM.
The team from the off took the play directly to the YM with powerful plays by Charlie, Freddy, Kyran and William. Lewis and Seb playing as No 9 scrum half controlling the play at vital moments of the match, two real terriers taking on players greater in size than themselves and with regards to size we better not forget a cameo appearance from that WWE legend Adam the body smasher Hunt.
Some epic runs saw the U12'S put down some positive tries but unfortunately this was not quite enough as a narrow loss by Ipswich U12'S came as a bitter sweet ending as the whistle blew. Another class team effort by all with focus and work to be had at the ruck.
