Well done to everyone who represented the Ipswich badge today whether it was in Black, Gold or Baa Baa. This is the best U13 age group in Suffolk by a mile. That is all down to you guys. Wherever your rugby takes you in future life, I hope you remember your time with us and that you were part of something truly special. As I said to you all in the changing rooms before the games today, this is one squad. Never forget that.

Today and Star men
There were some great performances today. To put in the shift the boys did across an A pool and hold our own was a brilliant performance full stop. I have to say I was somewhat miffed when I saw the pools. That said I knew the boys would be up for it and as the day wore on they grew into lions. All of them. Big performances from Joe Mallet and Ollie Wroe stood out amongst the pride but the MoM for Jim Clark today was Alex van der Pluym. Alex has grown slowly in confidence and today he arrived big time. He was full of aggression, pace and power. Well done all the boys today and especially Alex. I hope that you all take the confidence you showed today forward and really push for shirts in Black. You gave the A pool you were in one hell of a run. That has made me very proud.
What happens after todays competition?
The short answer is absolutely no idea. We will keep you posted.
