It is with great sadness that once again we have to say goodbye to yet another IRFC family member. Roy Lewis passed away recently. He was an ardent consistent supporter, enjoying the odd glass of red wine with his group of contemporaries on the corner table at many Saturday pre-match lunches.

Roy held office at IRFC as our President after retiring from holding high office in HM Customs and Excise. In recognition of his service he was awarded an CBE. I know from personal conversations with Roy his role as IRFC President was far more enjoyable.

Roy’s funeral will be held on Friday 19th April 2024 at Seven Hills Crematorium at 1330.

The wake will be held after the funeral back at Ipswich RFC, Humber Doucy Lane, IP4 3PZ.
