Ipswich RFC Strengthens Women’s Programme With Assistant Coach Opportunity

Ipswich RFC is excited to announce the launch of a new recruitment drive for an Assistant Coach to join the club’s growing Women’s Rugby programme ahead of an ambitious new chapter for the squad.

The opportunity comes at a significant time for the club, with Ipswich RFC continuing to invest heavily in the development of women’s rugby, youth transition pathways, and long-term player progression across the region.

The successful applicant will become part of a passionate and progressive coaching environment, working closely alongside an experienced senior coaching group that includes coaches with international accolades and high-level rugby experience. The role offers a unique opportunity for aspiring or developing coaches to be mentored within an ambitious programme focused on both performance and personal development.

“We’re building something special within our women’s section,” said Ollie Hall, Club Playing Chair “This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to develop their coaching journey in a positive, inclusive and ambitious environment while learning from experienced coaches who have operated at elite levels of the game.”

The Assistant Coach will help support:

  • The continued growth of the senior women’s squad
  • Development of youth transition pathways
  • Player mentoring and skills progression
  • Match preparation and training delivery
  • A strong club culture built around belonging, confidence and opportunity

Ipswich RFC is seeking individuals with:

  • A passion for rugby and player development
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Coaching qualifications, or a willingness to work towards them
  • A commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive environment

The club believes the role will particularly appeal to coaches looking to gain hands-on experience within a thriving women’s rugby programme while receiving guidance and mentorship from experienced coaching leaders.

Based at Ipswich RFC, Humber Doucy Lane, the role offers the chance to make a genuine impact both on and off the field as the club continues to shape the future of women’s rugby in the region.

Join. Coach. Inspire.

Anyone interested in becoming part of the Ipswich RFC journey is encouraged to get in touch Club@Ipswichrugby.com or through the club’s social media channels.

“Help shape our future — Inspire. Develop. Belong.”
