As we close the chapter on the 2024/25 season, I’m sharing my report on a very solid season all-round with super strides in youth and women’s rugby where participation and performance were particular highlights. Off the pitch, we saw successful fundraising efforts and new social events with plans already in place to improve in all areas of the club this year.

Plans are already in motion to build on this momentum for the 2025/26 season, with renewed focus across coaching, play development and community engagement.

A heartfelt thank you goes to every volunteer, coach, player, sponsor, supporter and committee member who has worked so hard to improve the club at every level.

We would also like to acknowledge those stepping down after dedicated service:

• Henry Gaskin and Peter Jordan, who leave the committee with our sincere thanks for their significant contributions.
• Annie and Rob Thomas, who have officially hung up their bar towels - thank you both for keeping the clubhouse buzzing for so many seasons.

We’re delighted to welcome new faces to the club’s leadership:

• Mr Roy Steward as our new young President
• David Dodds as our new Chair of Commercial Sponsorship
• The irrepressible Zoe Pickering who takes over the bar and social coordination

The 2025/26 season promises to be a fantastic one, with strong foundations and bold ambitions. My thanks once again to everyone who is working hard to improve all aspects of the club.
