Ipswich U7 runners up in the BSE RFC Mini Festival
The Ipswich U7s , who until yesterday, had only played one competitive match against Cambridge, excelled themselves by ending their first rugby festival as runners up. The team, clutching their medals, were very pleased with their achievement.
They were beaten in the final by BSE Wolves by 7-5 after a tough match that was 4-4 at half time. There were a number of outstanding performances but Henry McLeod Scott was declared the Ipswich U7 “Player of the Tournament”. The squad was Henry McLeod-Scott, Archie Page, Charlie Coe, Lottie Rowland, Tom Hindley, Tom Marshlain, Matthew Jenkins, Joeseph Christie, Joe Hullis, Hugh Halfhide, Rory Clayton and Jake Gray. The side were supported by a very enthusiastic and vocal group of parents and grandparents.
With a performance like this so early in the season,we expect this young side to achieve great things this season.
