First XV

Ipswich took the long journey around the M25 to play Chiswick for a first round cup game.

Ipswich were sadly delayed on the M25 and arrived with little time to prepare for a game against a strong Chiswick side.

Ipswich fielded a below strength 1^st XV as coach Breedt had wanted to try out some 2^nd XV players.

A well drilled Chiswick side took full advantage of a slightly weakened Ipswich side

At half time Ipswich were 35 points down

At the restart Ipswich brought on two forward replacements Sam Steward and Andy Brown

In total Ipswich gave 1^st XV debuts to four players in Sam Steward, Alan Barker, Nathan Smith and Jake Goodwin.

A final score of 52 – 0 should not detract from a fine Ipswich team performance. Full  credit going to the debutants
