Ipswich travelled to Beccles for their fourth game of the season.
Ipswich had the worst possible start to the game, losing their flanker to the sin bin. Beccles kicked the penalty and led three nil.

After 20 minutes Ipswich’s Brad James scored from a lineout with Craig Burrows converting.
Beccles attempted to dominate the lighter Ipswich pack . Ipswich to their credit resisted the temptation to engage in this battle and ran the ball. Brad James went through for his second try.
Ross Barker scored his first try for Ipswich just prior to half time and with the conversion by Craig Burrows finished the first half leading 19-3
A momentary lapse of concentration after the restart gifted Beccles an easy unconverted try
Ipswich were forced to defend against some very solid Beccles forward play.
Having withstood continuous Beccles pressure for 30 minutes Ipswich unleashed their backs with ball in hand. Carlton Littlechild running 25 metres to score between the posts to secure the bonus point. Once again Craig Burrows converted.
