About the club

Ipswich Rugby Club is one of the oldest clubs around, founded in 1870. It boasts three senior sides and a thriving youth section to be proud of. After a successful season our 1st XV have gained the 2008/09 objective and are promoted back into London Division 2 North East for the season 2009/10. We welcome to the club any players, male or female, however young or old and regardless of experience. The senior players train on Tuesday (Backs), Wednesday (Forwards) and Thursday evenings (Combined). You should aim to get here for 6.45pm for 7.30pm, this will give you the opportunity to meet our Director of rugby David Broughton as well as our Head coach Aaron Brown.

If you are not a player but love the game of rugby then please come and support the Club. Our senior fixtures are listed from the menu above, make it a date in your diary and make sure you come and see what you can get out of the game whether as a spectator, sponsor or even a potential future player. Ipswich Rugby Club runs one of the largest mini and youth sections in the Eastern Counties. Training is on Sunday Mornings from 10:00. The Older youth sides also train during the week nights, please click on the youth button above to go to the relevant age group. There is an extensive fixture list for all ages and the games are played on Sundays. All inclusive membership is £80 per season and there are discounts for additional children.

The Club Shop is open from 10:00am on Sundays for the sale of sportswear including replica shirts, club shorts, socks, studs and leisurewear.
